About the Author

J.A. Bender has been writing since he was seven, completing a first, never-to-be-published (ever) novel in high school about kids and the moon and a talking cat. He is currently editing his first novel about dueling Polynesian gods and a taqueria.

The Shadows At Their Feet, his most current work, is a novella about love, art, and perseverance. He is also the author of the novella, So we walked down the sandy path outside our summer home, a noir mystery about a biologist haunted by the suicide of an ex-girlfriend and a missing best friend.

J.A. Bender currently resides in the Washington, DC metro area and works in the city.
